The Honolulu House is the home of the Historical Society of Marshall, and demonstrates the uniqueness of many of the homes in Marshall. A wonderful blend of Italianate, Gothic Revival and Polynesian influence, it is built of Marshall sandstone and faced with vertical board and battens. An elaborate nine bay porch across the front with the wide center bay serves as the base of the tower. Its tropical features include a raised veranda and observation platform. There are Gothic Revival influences in the pointed (four-centered) arch of the door and veranda trim and the board and batten exterior sheathing.
